マレーシア中央銀行（Bank Negara Malaysia）は、公式サイトで仮想通貨（Digital Currencies）を扱う業者のリストを公表している。
中銀のサイトで強調されているのは、リストにある業者は「報告機関（Reporting Institutions）」であるという点だ。
これらの業者は、「反マネーロンダリング、反テロ資金調達および 反非合法活動収益法（以下、AMLA）」を遵守し、犯罪性が疑われる取引を当局に通報したり、当局の求めに応じて開示したりする義務を負うことになる。
中央銀行は、これらの業者に営業ライセンスを発行しているわけではなく、仮想通貨取引のリスクを十分に理解して売買を行うよう、国民に注意を促している。
リストにある業者のひとつ、Xbit Asia Sdn. Bhd.代表のYuwarajan（ユワラジャン）氏は、THE KLの取材に対し、「中央銀行から、仮想通貨取引所は4月末までに登録するようにとの発表があった。法律を遵守して営業する仮想通貨取引所であれば届け出ができ、特に中央銀行の審査があるわけではなかった」と述べた。
4月26日現在、以下の11の仮想通貨取引所がリストに掲載されている。
