4月に既報の通り、マレーシア中央銀行（Bank Negara Malaysia）は、公式サイトで仮想通貨（Digital Currencies）を扱う業者のリストを公表しているが、このリストが更新されたことが話題になっている。

マレーシア中央銀行、仮想通貨取引所のリストを公表
4月26日時点では、中銀に登録していたのは11の業者だったが、8月8日時点では33。約3ヵ月で3倍に増えたことになる。

中央銀行の仮想通貨取引に対する姿勢は変化なし
登録業者は、「反マネーロンダリング、反テロ資金調達および 反非合法活動収益法（以下、AMLA）」を遵守し、犯罪性が疑われる取引を当局に通報したり、当局の求めに応じて開示したりする義務を負うことになる。
テック系メディアFinTech News Malaysiaの7月27日付け記事によると、33の業者の中には信頼性に疑問符が付く会社もあるという。
例えば、以下のリスト9番目のBlockchain Developer Sdn. Bhd.は、中銀が公表している監視対象企業（Watch list）に載っているDinar Dirhamと提携している。
登録している業者に対し、中央銀行が何らかのの許認可を与えているわけではない。
中央銀行は、仮想通貨取引のリスクを十分に理解して売買を行うよう、国民に注意を促しているが、仮想通貨取引所も玉石混淆といえる。
